Sunday Post #12 – Another full week

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kim over on Caffeinated Reviewer.

It’s been another busy week, but productive. I’m actually getting ahead a little so I can hopefully wiggle out some solid reading time next week. I am annoyed it’s taking so long to read a single book. There was a time when I could finish one in about a week depending on length. Now, it’s taking seriously longer, and I’m annoyed. Not all the books I’m interested in have an audiobook so I can’t just hit play and go.

I also managed to take several minutes, probably closer to a few hours, cleaning out Goodreads. I went through my TBR and deleted books I no longer want to read, or have too many others I want to read more. I managed to go from over 300 books on my listed TBR to 229. While going through I also updated books I found that I had read. I still need to finish updating my books on Goodreads listed as read.

My parents came over and we worked on some gardening – weeding and added some stepping stones in front of the spigots to hopefully make it easier to access the hoses and turn on the spigot. We also had a wonderful small bonfire. A nice way to start the weekend.

I am currently reading 3 books at the same time. Still working on Novice, which I hope to finish this week. This is a book I received from my sister to borrow, I really need to get this back to her. At work I started Tube Ritual, an eBook I borrowed using my Kindle Unlimited subscription. Then from my library I borrowed A Torch Against the Night in audiobook format. I’ve been listening to this as I ride to work in the morning and do some stuff around the house.

  1. Bonfires are nice- one of the perks of summer. 🙂 Hope you get more reading time in the days ahead- my reading time was down in May and I’m hoping it will rebound in June here! And Goodreads- I am SO bad at keeping that updated…
