Summary:

Kendall Morgan puts her sixth sense back to work in the second audiobook of the Relic Seekers series, divining the history and location of ancient relics. Her boss, gorgeous billionaire Nathan Larraby, sends her to Italy to safeguard a priceless treasure belonging to the Protettori, an ancient order of monks who guard four powerful relics.

Nathan believes these may be the cure for his dark curse. He also sends brooding mercenary Jake Stone to watch Kendall’s back – although her back isn’t all Jake has his eye on.

Nathan joins them, and all three tumble into a labyrinth of defenses created by the monks to protect their treasures, including the Fountain of Youth. They find themselves in England on the trail of the legendary King Arthur, who along with the Reaper, seems connected to the Protettori. Sparks fly and bonds are tested as Kendall and Nathan’s pasts are revealed and Jake’s becomes even more mysterious. The trio must stay one step ahead of the Reaper if they want to survive.

My thoughts:

This book is thrilling. We see the world of Gwenevere and King Arthur through Kendell’s visions. And the tour group they get mixed up with is an interesting bunch.

I kept reading to see what interesting tidbits would be revealed about the Protettori, the ancient protectors of artifacts, and Kendell’s past. Almost right at the beginning she has an interesting vision about her father being part of the Protettori. Later clues build up and she thinks she knows who the Reaper is. Also, while exploring England with Jake and the tour group, Kendell gets some, ah hem, steamy visions and pulls Jake into them with her.

Nathan goes off on his own adventure, and has some interesting experiences. He gets kidnapped, and later finds himself in some serious trouble. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’m not going to say anything about the trouble.

If you are looking for something Fantasy with some historical fiction, and a touch of paranormal, give this trilogy a try. The first book is Guardians of Stone.
