My Thoughts:
With the title being Winter, and Winter being a character, I guess I was expecting a little more of Winter in the story. I mean I knew Cinder was the main character, and would have the most heavy lifting. She is after all the lost lunar princess trying to claim her throne. But, I think Winter needed a little more to do, or more page time. I felt like most of the book was on Cinder, more so than Winter.

Other than character expectations, the story was enjoyable. I’d probably give this somewhere around 3 or 3.5 stars of 5. It entertained, but as it’s been a while since finishing I realized how much I was just listening mindlessly.

The ending was, alright. I was a little underwhelmed. It just felt real slow. It was necessary, somewhat, but slow. So I came to the end and was like, oh, it’s done. There was no, oh I loved it, oh that was enjoyable, it was just, done.

If you are looking for something to mindlessly listen to while gardening, and other tasks, then yes. Pick up Winter. Otherwise, you can probably guess the basics of the ending and you don’t really need it.
