When I was picking what to read this month, I wasn’t paying attention to the number of pages. I now have regrets of what I have chosen. Somewhat. While I don’t have much hope of getting through anything more than 2 of these books; I still hope I will be able to make time to read all these because I really want to read them all. Together though, with what I have left of the one book carrying over from previous TBRs, these books total 2457 pages. February was my best month so far, and I read 2238 pages. Good thing May has 31 days, while February had only 28.
Readathons
Bout of Books Round 34
Bout of Books is a fun readathon where you just read whatever you want. No prompts, no games. Just have fun reading whatever you like. This readathon takes place from May 9th to the 15th.
Bookopolathon
This readathon is hosted by Becca from Becca and the Books. She uses her TBR game, Bookopoly based on the game of Monopoly, to provide prompts for us to read. This round takes place for 48 hours, starting at midnight BST on Saturday, May 20th. We got the first of 2 possible prompts in the announcement video. This round will once again be live for the full 48 hours, with various hosts each hosting 4 hours on their respective YouTube channels.
The prompts:
- From the 2020 board – Small book, under 300 pages
- From the 2021 board – Gods
eBooks

I will be continuing The Burning Sea by A. E. Rayne. It’s taking me so long to get through this I feel like it’s not an accurate representation of how much I’m actually very hooked on this series. I have less than half of the book left so I’m hoping to finish fairly quickly in to May. This would work for the 2021 Bookopoly prompt of Gods. The God representation is very light in these books though.

The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon, is the second book of The Bone Season series. I read The Bone Season early in this year, and I would like to continue this series. I’ve checked this out from my Library via the Libby app. This book is fairly long, so I’m worried someone is going to add a hold and I won’t be able to finish before it’s due back. š¬

I don’t even remember what Fatemarked by David Estes is about, but I remember at some point being super excited for it and I like the cover. I may regret this though, because it’s almost 500 pages. This makes 3 books on my TBR, which will require I sit down and read them physically, which are about 500 or more pages in length. Granted I’m over half-way with 1, but this is still going to be interesting.
Audiobooks

The Knight’s Shadow is book two of the Greatcoats trilogy by Sebastien de Castell. I have this saved in my Scribd account. I think I read listened to Traitor’s Blade last year, maybe the year before, so I do need to continue this trilogy. Especially since it is already finished. There is nothing stopping me from finishing this except all the other books I want to read right now.

A Psalm of Storms and Silence by Roseanne A. Brown is the second book of the A Song of Wraiths and Ruin series. This was released in November of 2021, so thankfully I’m not as late to continuing this series, as I am with several others. Finishing this book will make me current with reading the books available in this series. Meaning I will be able to tick off a series for the Finishing the Series Challenge.
