I am participating in Becca’s BookopolAthon this weekend, hoping this will help pull me out of the slump I’m in.
Saturday Morning
I started last night, I’m trying to keep to the British time to read with most. I got a late start though since when the readathon started I was on a video call with family.
Reading so far, I’ve read maybe 10 pages of The Rise of Magicks by Nora Roberts. This is for the 2019 board role to read a paranormal or magical realism. Will I finish this before the end of the readathon? I’m not holding my breath. I read kind of slow.
As of this morning, since now the second roll from each board has been rolled, I’m continuing the audiobook of A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown. I’ve been listening to this previously, so I’m already 3 hours, 31 minutes in to the book.
Now let’s get this day started. What are you reading? Are you participating in the readathon this weekend?
Saturday Late Afternoon
I have now finished A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown. Oh. My. Goodness. All I have to say. I’m still trying to gather my thoughts after the emotional pulls, pushes, ups, and downs especially towards the end.
For the moment now, I will get back to The Rise of Magicks by Nora Roberts until the next dice roll in about an hour and 15 minutes from when I am typing this.
Saturday Late Evening
The next set of rolls have been rolled. For this set, I think I’m switching to the 2020 board to do a book gifted to me; because this I can double up with the first prompt and count The Rise of Magicks by Nora Roberts. This book was gifted to me by a cousin for Christmas last year. I don’t know how this has lasted on my shelf this long without me reading it honestly. I’ve loved this trilogy and am excited to see how it is wrapped up. So far so good, and I think I can finish this before the end of the readathon. Currently, I have 343 pages remaining.
Wrap Up
I was really bad at updating this post yesterday. By really bad I mean…I didn’t. I was so focused on trying to finish The Rise of Magicks by Nora Roberts, but alas, I failed. I had 139 pages to go at the end of the readathon, and only managed to cut that down to about 100 before heading off to bed for the night. Hoping to finish today.
This means the only prompt completed, was to read a Diverse Book. For this I finished the audiobook of A Song of Wraiths and Ruin.
While I wasn’t very active on Twitter, or here, I did have fun and am looking forward to the announcement of the next installment of Becca’s Bookopolathon.
(Also coming, I vlogged during the readathon, kind of, I’m a bit rusty. As soon as I can get the video edited, I will add it to this post.)
