Hour 9
Getting a late start to the day. It is storming and raining hard this morning. So it’s dreariness on top of dreariness, and the bed was just so comfy and warm…I stayed wrapped in it’s comfort and fell back asleep.
I’m currently sitting at my kitchen table, having some breakfast and updating here. I’m listening to Dark In Death, trying to pay extra close attention because I think there may be mention of a book or books from our current time, in addition to the fictional books part of the main story line. I’m a scribe so need a story within a story, or mention of a real book in a story for one of the badges.
Hour 11
This hour is almost done. I completed my scavenger hunt, and posted on Twitter. I have to say it was a lot of fun going through the pictures of books I’ve read and reviewed, and books I own but haven’t read yet looking for the items on the covers. I didn’t need to go to my physical shelves, which would have been interesting to try and combine the physical with the E and Audio books. I can’t get Audible to show how far in to the book I am, but I have 10 hours 33 minutes remaining of Dark in Death. So far, I haven’t caught any mention of a real book, but the connection to the author and fictional books written by this author in the 2060s was just made. So I think, if there is mention of books of our time, they are coming.
Hour 18
I made a mug coffee cake as a baked item for one of the scribe badges. I realized I can also make muffins in the morning for breakfast. I had an hour long nap already. Not sure what is going on with me sleeping in this morning and then crashing again in the middle of the afternoon. I currently have just under 5 hours left of Dark In Death, but I think I’m going to take a break and start Rebel Born by Amy A. Bartol.
Hour 24
I’m probably going to bed shortly. I’m almost finished with Dark In Death, and on chapter 4 of Rebel Born. It’s been a while since I read the second book of the Secondborn trilogy, so it took me a while to catch up and remember what was going on. I’m wondering if I’ll be able to finish Rebel Born tomorrow; it will likely be a close finish.
Hour 40
It’s been a windy day today, but much warmer. We went out for a walk and were out over an hour! I’m currently halfway in to Rebel Born, and don’t want to stop. So now that the popcorn I just popped is done, I’m going to get back to it.
Hour 45
Finished the second book Rebel Born by Amy A. Bartol. And my gosh this book. You must read the Secondborn trilogy. You must. It’s great. Anyways, I think I’m going to get ready to crash now. I believe all badges have been earned, and I work tomorrow. I’m working from home, but I still need to get up earlier than I got up and going yesterday and today.
I’ll see you next month for the Magical Readathon. (I still need to figure out my TBR. 🙄)
