November Wrap Up & December TBR

Well, as mentioned in this week’s Sunday Post, I haven’t finished a single book in November. I did listen to a few audiobooks, but they were books I’ve listened to at least a dozen times before and didn’t really pay attention to. I mostly used them for noise. For some reason, nothing really is calling out to me saying ‘read me, you know you’ll love me’. Besides not hearing a book calling, I have been busy with work and finally working to finish our basement. But I’m hoping to pick up and finish a book this December. I’m very disappointed in my reading for this year.

For December, I’m hoping to read a few books.

I’m putting The City We Became on my TBR again this month. A little frustrated I got at least a quarter way in with an electronic copy from my library, but then had some technical difficulties and now can’t pick up where I left off, meaning I’ll be starting from the beginning. However, this book does call to me. I was enjoying what I had read, I just allowed myself to get probably more frustrated than warranted at needing to start over.

I’ve had this on a few readathon TBRs this year, and for one reason or another, haven’t picked it up. I received a copy from the publisher a while back for review and am feeling really guilty for not having read and reviewed it yet. This may be one I make myself pick up, and hope it’s good enough to keep me going and pull me out of this slump.

I honestly couldn’t say right now how long this has been on my TBR. I’ve had this on my Kindle for a while now, and have passed it over for one reason or another. This book does pull at me a little, or it usually does, so I’m putting this on my TBR and we’ll see how it goes.

Feeling a bit ambitious, I’m also adding A Blade So Black. I purchased this earlier this year. I’ve seen it on a few YouTubers channels now and thought it interesting. I grabbed it and it was unfortunately about when the slump took over, so I didn’t pick this one up. This has been poking me though; like the friend there ready for you to talk when you are feeling down, just patiently waiting. I’m ready to talk, so I’ll be picking this one up and hope to enjoy it.

What are some of the books you are looking to read this month?
