NaNoWriMo has been going for almost 2 weeks, and I am currently about 5,000 words behind from the target word count. However, over the last 2 days, I’ve managed to write 3,000 words. I’m hoping today will be no different so I can cut down the deficit. I’m a little worried for the next 3 days though. We have our Annual Planning Session at work and it always sucks the time in the day away. So far, the work days are the ones I have struggled with getting the word count in. Now with the Planning Session for the next 3 days, but needing to get our regular work done as well, it means we will be working more than the typical 8 hour days. This won’t leave a whole lot of time for anything other than working.
Friday my parents came over, and after dinner it was a home improvement fest. We patched a hole in the hallway, and hung hooks in the bathroom. There was also a discussion of drapes, so hopefully the vertical blinds that have hung in the Living Room window since before we even bought the house will be history soon.
