Tome Topple Round 8 has come to an end. I was hoping to finish at least 2 tomes, but alas, I have only completed 1 during the readathon.
The one book I finished was The Collector by Nora Roberts. I listened to the audiobook which was 15 hours, 44 minutes, 28 seconds, which equates to 754 pages.
Once I finished The Collector, I needed another audiobook. I found A Gathering of Shadows by V. E. Schwab, but again, I failed to finish before the end of the readathon. I listened to 13 hours, 33 minutes, and 57 seconds, which equates to approximately 430 pages.
I continued reading The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons. When I started the readathon I was 95 pages into the book, during the readathon I read about 352 pages.
I also started Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas, reading on my phone at work for what little time I could have to read. Since I don’t have a lot of time to read, I read only 15 pages.
In total, I read 1,552 pages.
Next time though will be different. I think I was putting too much pressure on myself to read this round and ended up loosing interest. This meant not much reading was getting done. I did however watch a bunch of Bones episodes from season 2. Next time I plan to just focus on having fun and enjoy the books I read.
