The Tome Topple is coming! There are 5 challenges, and I don’t believe I will complete them all; in fact I’m not sure I’ll complete any of them since I’m also focusing on writing 50,000 words this month. When I did my November TBR I left 2 spots for books for this readathon.
The Tome Topple takes place from November 9-22, and the challenges are:
1 – Read more than 1 tome
2 – Read the tome waiting the longest on your TBR for you to read it
3 – Read a tome in a series
4 – Read a tome from a genre you don’t usually read
5 – Read an adult novel
My 2 choices and the challenges they are for if I manage to complete either…
I can get the audiobook from Scribd for Rise of Empire. I got a bit carried away with the Riyria Revelations & Chronicles and this is now where I’m at in the series. This will count for the challenges:
– Read a tome in a series
– Read an adult novel
I received Outlander for my birthday several years back, and is the oldest on my TBR. This is a historical fantasy, and it’s the historical part causing me to pause each time I think about picking it up. This will work for:
– Read more than 1 tome
– Read a tome from a genre you don’t usually read
– Read the tome waiting the longest on your TBR for you to read it
These are the books I will be attempting to get through during the Tome Topple readathon. Outlander is the one which will be iffy if I finish. I own the ebook so will be “physically” reading this rather than listen to the audiobook on my commute to and from work, or while getting things done around the house. Rise of Empire is an audiobook which I shouldn’t have an issue finishing, since I will be listening to the audiobook rather than physically reading.
So, one question for all you. Anyone else crazy enough to attempt writing 50,000 words and the Tome Topple readathon?
