This is another book I found from a Hallmark Channel television movie. Again I have to say, I preferred the made for television movie over the book.

There is another love triangle that takes place in the books, but the point that completes the triangle doesn’t arrive on the scene until the end. Our main character, Hannah Swensen, investigates the murder of her good friend who worked to deliver milk for the Dairy. She is asked to help with the investigation by her brother-in-law who is trying to be a detective on the local police force. I realize this is a work of fiction, but what police officer trying to make detective asks his sister-in-law to help him investigate a murder? Need I mention his sister-in-law is a baker?

The main love interest in the book is really rather blah, which is one reason I think the Hallmark movie did better. Both love interests are in play almost from the start. In the book however, we only get to have the dentist. He’s someone Hannah’s mother has set her up with, and at one point Hannah ends up investigating him as a suspect. Even gets some help from her sister in checking out his practice which he took over from his father.

I am interested in continuing the series, I’m just not sure I’ll jump right on it. I would rather read some other books first.
