My thoughts:
This is not a book you want to listen to unless you’ve already read it. I was constantly backing up to see what I had missed. But to be honest I don’t know that reading the book first would have helped at all.
The story requires you to care about finding living twins, and the final resting place of the actual gods known as the twins. You’ve been told these twins are bad news at the start of the story, and the parents tied them to the earth. Since then, all twins born are killed.
So why does this group want the Twins back? I wish I could tell you. I apparently seriously missed it somewhere. I never connected with this motive, so for most of the story I was lost. I still am, but there is a nice twist at the end and I no longer needed to know. Or at least I felt I no longer needed to know.
I can’t say if I’m going to continue or not. Probably not though since there are so many other stories I’m more interested in.
