Readathons Whateverathon, or Whatever-You-Want-athon, is taking place the entire month of June. This readathon is hosted by Maddie from Book Browsing Blog on YouTube. This is the second year of the readathon. I had a lot of fun with it last year, and hope to have fun with it again this year. The teams and… Continue reading Whateverathon 2 | June TBR
The Queen of Blood by Sarah Beth Durst
This is written like it's supposed to be plot-driven, but you can guess what will happen. The twists come from acts, that seem out of character. These moments pull you out of the story. This is probably an unpopular opinion since most reviews I heard about this book were great. I was excited to read the book finally but then had these moments pull me out of the book. This is one series I won't be continuing.
Audiobooks for Running
Recommending audiobooks for running When you go running, they say you should listen to music with somewhere between 120 to 140 beats per minute. This should help you keep a good cadence throughout your run. However, I much prefer listening to audiobooks when I run. Music makes me want to dance, and this could mess… Continue reading Audiobooks for Running
Sunday Post 93: It’s not Hives…
Sitting on my porch, enjoying some tea and an audiobook. Now a few weeks ago, I had what I thought were some hives show up on my left arm and hand. Spurts of these itchy bumps appeared from my elbow to the palm of my hand. It wasn't until I went to set things up… Continue reading Sunday Post 93: It’s not Hives…
Abandoned in Death by J.D. Robb
Say goodnight, baby darling Three young women have gone missing. They're all pretty, mid-twenties - someone clearly has a type. But no one links their disappearances until the first - Lauren Elder - is found lying peacefully on a bench in a children's playground. She is neatly dressed with a wide black velvet ribbon covering… Continue reading Abandoned in Death by J.D. Robb
Reacting to These Books Will Self Destruct 2021
I did a post in 2020 of books I wanted to read in 2021 because they had been on my shelf for a while and I had at least started most of them and then put down for something. For being in a reading slump most of 2021, I feel I did pretty well in… Continue reading Reacting to These Books Will Self Destruct 2021

The Choice of Blogging vs Vlogging
I had a YouTube channel once. I think I even have most of the videos I made still out there. For some things, I felt they could be better discussed in a video, and somehow I started putting everything in a video. I did this for a couple years before slowly returning to blogging. Video is how I get most of my information today, like many others. It's easy to turn on while doing other things. So why am I back to blogging?
Bye Bye, Goodreads
Most all readers have used Goodreads, or at least tried it out. And those of us who have tried or used it, all seem to have common reasons of why we hate using Goodreads. Yet, these items have not been addressed by Goodreads.
Books I’m struggling to finish
In 2019 there were a few books I picked up, and while I had no intention of DNF'ing them, I failed to finish before putting them down for an extended time. I haven't had much of this issue come up in my reading life until now; and it seems to be coming on strong.
