We’ve been in our home for almost a decade, and have finally finished the kitchen. Ironically, the kitchen was the first room we started, and it’s only the second to be finished. Part of it is allowing our wallets to recover some of the large expenses, another part is neither of us are handy so we had to wait for my dad or my father-in-law to be free to help.
To finish, my parents came over while I was at work. It started as a surprise for me to see what changed. And it’s been so long since we’ve worked on a project. Too bad they started on a day where I was more sleep deprived than usual, and so it took me several hours to notice the somewhat obvious change.
