Sunday Post #62: Decorating for the Holidays

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly over on the Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news of what happened in your life, what’s coming up on your blog, or recap posts shared.

Well, I’ve gotten our trees out. That is literally all that has happened though. I started putting lights on one, but realized I don’t have enough strings of lights. I’ve put it in a different room and now need to cover all around, instead of just half or 3/4 of the tree; so the lights I had on hand no longer cover all of it. Also for the first time, we set up the tree my Grandpa gave us after my Grandma died several years ago now.

I also took a deep dive into the ornaments and house decorations we got after my Grandma died. She was big into Christmas and had collected a lot, I mean a lot of decorations over the years. I only have 6 or 7 boxes, and I think there are still more. Only 1 of those boxes was ornaments so I’m pretty sure there are more we’ve forgotten about. Her style and my style don’t always go together, so I haven’t put aside many ornaments to keep. I also got my parents to start going through and now just need my sister to go through. Which doesn’t mean I’ll be getting rid of everything, my sister is in an apartment at the current time so I may still be storing items for her here.

Currently Reading

Yes I’m still working on Outlander, but it’s very slow going for me. It also doesn’t help I had an urge to start Heart of a Huntsman so now I have 2 ebooks going at the same time instead of books of different formats.

Finished

I don’t know why, but I hesitated to read Orson. Now I’m stuck, I’m hooked on this series. I’ve now downloaded the third book, Lucy, from Scribd. I can’t seem to stop listening to these books. Except there are only 2 left, Lucy, and Cabal, so I’m going to be stuck waiting for the next book soon.
