2019 Favorite Books

This list is not all inclusive, but a few of the books I really enjoyed and wanted to mention again. There is one series on here I’m wondering if maybe I did hear about and just wasn’t ready for it at the time, or maybe I was living in a hole or something at the time of it’s hype. This is the final book of the Guardians trilogy, and in usual Nora Roberts fashion, there is a romance interwoven into the story. The romance focused on in this story is between Riley, who is a werewolf, and Doyle, who will live forever because of a curse.

fter finishing A Gathering of Shadows, book 2 of the Shades of Magic series, I couldn’t wait to start A Conjuring of Light. The cliffhanger the book ends on is one leaving you going “nooo!” I was very happy I was able to work this into my Book Junkie Trials TBR.

There was a lot going on here. In the first book, Miara and Prince Aven were heading back to Aven’s home. In this book they make it. But Miara is a commoner, and worse, she is a mage. Mages are not trusted, and Aven’s father, the King, has issue with her. He would prefer if his son fell in love with someone else.
