Dewey’s 24-hour Readathon!!

I found this readathon several years ago now. It happens semi-annually, and since finding it, I haven’t missed once. The next readathon is Saturday April 28, and you can still sign up to participate.

I had never done a readathon before I found Dewey’s. Not just is it a 24-hour readathon, but it’s a place to meet new friends, and learn about other books you may like, and have fun! Most readathons start at midnight local time and go to 11:59 pm local. Dewey’s is different, and I think this part helps with the comradery; Dewey’s has a set start time so everyone starts at the same time. To see when Dewey’s starts for you, check out this time converter linked from the Dewey’s page so they already have it set for you. It starts at 12 midnight UTC.

Of course there are challenges, and chances for prizes. And there aren’t just 3 prizes or 7 like in a week long readathon. There are challenges and prizes most, if not all the hours. There is always something for everyone.

I am very excited to be participating in Dewey’s again for this round, and I look forward to seeing you there too. đŸ™‚

Here is my reading vlog from the last round which was in October 2017. Hope this helps you decide if you will join or not if you are on the fence.
