Sunday Post #19 – Dewey’s Readathon Fall 2018

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly over on the Caffeinated Reviewer.

Saturday was Dewey’s 24 hour readathon, which I have been participating in for the last few years. Usually, since starting my YouTube channel I would vlog the event. This time though, I got sucked into a book, and somehow just didn’t feel vlogging was important enough to stop the book. Plus, I had already decided to do a kind of wrap up here for today.

I managed to read 2 books during the 24 hours. I listened to the audiobook of The Fifth Season by N. K. Jemisin, and I read Volume 3 of the Fruits Basket manga. I’m thinking I may need to read Volume 4 of Fruits Basket during the next Detroit Red Wings game, because I read volume 3 during the game last night and they won! They got their first win of the series.

I did set an alarm to get up this morning before the readathon ended, but somehow the idea of falling asleep on the couch won me over. So I slept until almost 9:30 am.

I’m also not doing well in my Preptober tasks. I’ve decided I’m not worrying about making a new Halloween costume this year, which seems to have made room for the additional work my boss added on to a project. Now I’m stressing about that. I do plan to sit down later today for the first time and attempt to get some ideas down at least about the story I plan to write next month for NaNoWriMo. We will have to see how that goes.

  1. I’m behind on reviews for sure! I know what I want to write for NaNoWriMo, but I can’t finish my outline, having trouble figuring out how to make the book jump to the next part, or even transition. Maybe it will just come to me. Good luck with getting done what you need to!
