It’s the holiday season, and it’s getting to the point where I think we all go a bit loopy. I certainly had a moment when I went to the grocery store last night and there was basically no milk. I mean none. There were a few of the pint size jugs, but that was it. I’m not talking just the whole or 1/2% either, I mean all of it. Empty. I couldn’t believe it.
Outside, the something like 8 inches of snow we received, is still on the ground and we are freezing. Winter has come early this year.
The puppy had some fun dive bombing the piles I made and grabbing some of the leaves. He likes to eat them, not that we actually allow him to eat them. It’s just not always possible to stop him depending on the size of the leaf. It may be gone before we even catch up to him.
Usually the goal of NaNo is to write 50,000 words. This can be daunting, and sometimes can lead to bad word choices in your story as you add extra filler words just to up your word count. I would be one of these people.
I am planning on participating in Dewey’s 24-hour readathon happening this Saturday, October 26. I always have a great time with this readathon. Everyone starts at the same time, so be sure to check out when you start by visiting their website and don’t forget to sign up while you are there.
Things at work are about as crazy as ever. I’m slowly picking at my to do list while at the same time getting ahead where possible and yet feeling like I’m falling behind. This may sound backwards. How can one get ahead but at the same time fall behind? Sounds like a mis-prioritization of work.
Dewey’s April 24 hour readathon just finished a few hours ago. I read 249 pages. So close to 250.
